India defeated Pakistan by 6-1 in World Hockey League semifinal 2017.
Indian men’s hockey team defeated opponent Pakistan by 6-1 in the qualification match played at the World League Semi-finals from fifth to eighth place on Saturday. India will now play for fifth position, face Canada on June 25, which defeated China 7-3 in another qualification match.
This is the second win in this tournament of India against Pakistan. On 18th June, the Indian team defeated Pakistan 7-1 in a group match. On this day, Pakistan’s cricket team defeated India to win the Champions Trophy title for the first time.

In the eighth minute after the start of the first quarter against Pakistan, Ramandeep Singh opened the account of India by scoring field goals. After this, after a lot of hard work in the second quarter, Talwinder Singh scored another goal and gave Indian team a 2-0 lead.
Mandeep Singh (27th minute) scored a third field goal for the Indian team after two minutes. In the next minute, while dragging the ball with him, Ramandeep once again went ahead and scored the fourth field goal.
Keeping in control the third quarter, the Indian team scored another goal. Harmanpreet Singh scored a penalty corner in the 36th minute. In the 41st minute, Ahmed Ejaz opened Pakistan’s account with a goal.
Once again, on the Pakistan defence in the fourth quarter, India made the sixth goal in the 59th minute just one minute before the match ended. Mandeep Singh scored the goal for the team. Pakistan will face China in the qualification match for the seventh and eighth place on June 25.
